BARNEY BENTALL & THE GRAND CARIBOO OPRY 8:00 pm
The Grand Cariboo Opry is hosted by Barney Bentall as he works through his very humorous and highly entertaining monologues (think Prairie Home Companion) and fronts a big band consisting of The Legendary Hearts augmented with lap steel, piano (Johnny Ellis) and fiddle (Kendel Carson).

Roy Battiese, a.k.a. “Daddy Roy – The Messenger”, has been involved in Reggae music for over 30 years. Born in St. Ann, Jamaica at the heart of the reggae movement, he has brought his soulful, artsy, rhythmic sound to venues across Jamaica, Canada and the US.

INDONESIAN TRADITIONAL DANCES FROM SUMATRA, JAVA AND KALIMANTAN ISLANDS 
4:30 pm
Indonesian dances are usually about stories and tales of fairy-tale characters. Dance in Indonesia also reflects the country’s diversity of ethnicities and cultures as there are more than 700 ethnic groups in Indonesia. The stories are usually about good challenging evil while Balinese dances are usually about religion and religious ceremonies.

Renowned choreographer of Korea’s Dasom Dance Group performs solo traditional dance.
VIETNAMESE FOLKLORIC ART ENSEMBLE 2:30 pm
Colourful traditional dancers from the Vietnamese community share the gifts of their ancestral heritage.
 TAIWANESE ABORIGINAL DANCE AND THE HAKA DANCE 2:00 pm
Taiwan Hakka Folk Dance -  Picking Tea Dance performed by the 'Hakka', a subgroup of the Han Chinese.  This dance will be followed by the Taiwan Aboriginal Dance.  The Thao/Ngan are a small group of Taiwanese aborigines who have lived near Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan for the last century.  
 
 
VANCOUVER KOREAN DANCE SOCIETY 1:00 pm
The Vancouver Korean Dance Society (VKDS), founded in 2003, is dedicated to perfecting the art of Korean Traditional Dance based on highly artistic and creative dancing.

A one-man phenomenon combines guitar, Weissenborn lap-slide, djembe, and didgeridoo into a rich sonic tapestry to support his expressive voice. There is something primal and compelling about the combined sounds of didgeridoo and Weissenborn together, and if you haven't heard either instrument then you must see his performance.

Jugpreet Bajwa (a.k.a. Juggy Jag), 14, was only seven months old when he lost both his eyes to retinoblastoma cancer. His passion and love of music is such that he as already performed in over 350 stage shows and can sing Indian classical, ghazals, bhajans, folk, bhangra, and Hindi Bollywood, as well as the latest rock and hip hop.

Cuban soul rocker Alex Cuba’s sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and rock chords subvert commonly held notions of what Cuban music is. Grace Jong Eun Lee is a distinguished composer and a performer dedicated to inter-culturalism. Her compositions reflect a combination of Korean, Chinese (Erhu) and Western instruments (flute, clarinet, piano, string and percussion). Grace will be performing on the Kayagum (Korean Zither), one of the best known traditional Korean instruments.

DESTINEAK WITH WEST COAST CONTORTION  7:30 pm
Arguably the most unique musical outfit in Vancouver, Destineak is Christina Sing and Bobby James, two souls hell-bent on writing and performing fresh, electronic music permeated with vocal hooks and infectious beats. A feast for the senses, these two arrive with a performance complete with live drums, vocals, keys, and visuals synced to every beat.

Wonderful Portuguese dance group whose goal is to introduce the Azorean/Portuguese culture into the BC society.
 EZEADI ONUKWULU AND ONE HUMAN RACE 2:30 pm
Ezeadi, originally from Nigeria, is an innovator, motivator and instigator in the African/World music scene. He has produced hundreds of events for charity and his music, based on traditional Igbo rhythms, evokes the spirit of highlife and afro beat with a splash of funk, jazz, blues and reggae. His African Show on CiTR 101.9 FM and his contribution to world music in BC is legendary.

 YORO NOUKOUSSI 1:30 pm
Yoro Noukoussi, a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and sound engineer was born in North Benin, Africa to the Chief of the Wama People. He learned the art of storytelling and drumming from his family, and has mastered the rhythms of the talking drum (donga), congas (kokomba), and djembe.

Alex Alegría was born in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca in southern México. After studying arts in Acapulco, he moved to Canada to pursue his dreams as a singer/songwriter. Since that time, Alex has performed extensively around the Lower Mainland and has toured BC and Alberta bringing his traditional and uplifting music to diverse audiences across western Canada.

 INDONESIAN TRADITIONAL DANCES FROM BALI ISLAND

Life in Bali is always related to "Tri Hita Karana" or a tripartite concept that includes the spiritual relationship between man, God and the environment. The rapid growth of development in tourism has influenced Bali tradition and lifestyle. Interestingly, Balinese culture is still as what it was, growing along with globalization. It is the Balinese civilization that makes the island different from other destinations.
 UKRANIAN DULCIMER ENSEMBLE 12:15 pm
Originating in the Middle East, the Dulcimer has 120 to 144 strings and is played with specially made wooden hammers. In 1999, the "Ukrainian Dulcimer Ensemble" was formed and features multiple instruments including Fiddle, Accordion, Mandolin, Guitar and Harmonica to accompany the Dulicmer. They have performed at Ukrainian festivals in Vegreville, AB, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Richmond, Surrey and Seattle Folk Life. The group continues to entertain enthusiastic crowds and have touched the lives of many.
